Sparkz Inc, a Livermore-based battery technology company, inked a lease for a 125.7k sf building at Metro Air Park in what we’re told is the largest new lease in the greater Sacramento region in 2024 year-to-date. Located at 7120 Badiee Dr, the cross-docked building features a 32-foot clear height, 21 dock-high doors, and two grade-level doors.
The building is one of two Metro Air Park buildings acquired by BGO in Q4 2022. Sparkz will join a tenant list in Metro Air Park that includes Amazon, Walmart, SC Johnson, Target, and UPS.
Leasing activity has increased in recent months across Metro Air Park and other Sacramento submarkets more broadly with new tenants touring the market and existing tenants evaluating new facilities. Since 2017, 25 buildings totaling 9.3 msf of industrial space have been developed in Metro Air Park.
