Agora Realty and Management Inc has signed a major university tenant to a 16.2k sf, former Chase Bank bulding they own in Thousand Oaks. Located at 248 Hampshire Rd, the building was purchased by Agora Realty in 2019.
Agora will convert the former bank into a landmark healthcare facility for the new tenant, which we’ve heard is UCLA. Completion is likely in the first quarter of 2021. The state-of-the-art medical outfit will service the community with a multitude of primary care services and procedures.
The property, which sits on a 2.5-acre parcel and features prominent visibility on Hampshire Road, is adjacent to the 101, a major freeway that connects Thousand Oaks to the rest of Los Angeles County. The site is within two miles of The Promenade at Westlake Village, the largest shopping mall in the area featuring dozens of dining, retail and entertainment options.
John La Spada and Bill Clark of CBRE represented Agora in the transaction. According to La Spada, this market has significant barriers to entry for larger medical occupiers, making this opportunity a great fit for a larger and more active medical group looking to expand in the area.
