Brokerage & Logistics Solutions inked a long-term lease for a 119k sf warehouse/distribution facility in Otay Mesa in a deal valued at $14 mil. The company, a division of JD Group, a binational custom brokerage and logistics company with operations in San Diego, Calexico, Tijuana, Ensenada, Mexicali and Tecate, will utilize the facility for their growing distribution and warehousing operations. The relocated from a building that was 30k sf smaller.
The property is Building 2 within Sanyo Logistics Center, located at 9350 Airway Rd, just north of the U.S. Mexico border. Sanyo Logistics Center, a newly constructed Class A corporate facility and distribution center, is situated along SR-905 just minutes from the Otay Mesa Port of Entry and has easy access to major interstates.
Jeff Saywitz and Michael Mossmer, SIOR with Voit Real Estate Services repped the tenant in the deal. The landlord and developer, Badiee Development, based out of La Jolla, was represented by Mark Lewkowitz, Chris Holder, and Will Holder of Colliers. The lease term was not disclosed.
