Avis Budget Car Rental LLC has leased a 91.5k sf industrial building in National City and is scheduled to take occupancy on August 1. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Situated on over 12 acres at 901 Bay Marina Dr, the property was originally built in 1972 and most recently renovated in 2017. The property features secured asphalt yard, 19-20’ clear height, eight grade-level doors, five dock-high doors, onsite and ample street parking, and heavy power. The property is in close proximity to San Diego’s freeway network, including Interstates 5, 8, 15 and State Routes 94,163 and 54.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Brant Aberg, SIOR represented the landlord in the transaction. The tenant was repped by Bill Dolan and Ryan Sparks of CBRE.
“The property only recently became available to the market in Q2 2024. This full building lease showcases the desirability of the facility, including its location, features, and accessibility. It also emphasizes the desirability of southern San Diego’s industrial sector,” commented Aberg. According to Aberg, the property will serve as an off-site car rental storage and fleet maintenance facility for the company.
