Leonardo DRS signed an expansion lease for an additional 16.5k sf of space at 16465 Via Esprillo, within Discovery Corporate Center in Rancho Bernardo. The Italian-owned defense contractor now occupies the entire 84.3k sf building, which was built in 2011 as a build-to-suit for Broadcom.
Leonardo DRS will use the space to expand its research facility in Rancho Bernardo and provide additional office space. The firm is a supplier of integrated products, services and support to military forces, intelligence agencies and defense contractors worldwide.
The three-building, Class A office property is owned by Drawbridge Realty. It also includes 16340 West Bernardo Drive and 11020 Via Frontera, which are leased by Apple and Broadcom. With this deal, the campus is 100% leased.
