Construction on Buzz Golden Hill, a $9 mil, 24k sf urban infill mixed-use project in San Diego’s Golden Hill neighborhood, was just completed last month. The project, developed by Alexander Alemany of Hub & Spoke Communities and Rammy Cortez of Rammy Cortez Urban Infill, is located at 1144 30th St, just north of Hwy 94 between I-5 and I-15.
The 36-unit, workforce housing development includes traditional apartments, co-living lofts and a restaurant. The project features open floorplans, soaring high ceilings and abundant natural light, with the co-living lofts providing shared kitchens to encourage a strong social dynamic.
Situated at the highest point of Golden Hill, Buzz offers sweeping views of the downtown skyline, San Diego Bay, Coronado Bridge and Tijuana and is within walking distance to the dynamic neighborhood amenities of South Park, downtown San Diego and Golden Hill.
The project architect was TFWA. The construction manager was Elite Builders with Specialty Metal Work by Artist & Exile. A community mural on 30th street was created by local artist, Marvin Madariaga. San Diego-based Sunrise Management is handling the lease up and day-to-day management activities.
