Fate Therapeutics has agreed to lease Scripps Northridge Corporate Center, a 200k sf life sciences campus in San Diego’s Sabre Springs area. Fate Therapeutics will be using the campus for its corporate headquarters, which is expected to include a 40k sf GMP manufacturing facility. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Scripps Northridge Corporate Center is situated on 20 acres at 12278 Scripps Summit Dr, east of I-15 and south of Poway Rd. The asset is owned by Dart Interests LLC (Scripps Summit Investments LLC).
Scripps Northridge Corporate Center underwent a $50 mil renovation in 2014, transforming the office building into a state-of-the-art life sciences complex. Under the lease agreement, Dart Interests will contribute $30 mil toward additional campus improvements.
Situated on the edge of the Scripps Summit bluff above Interstate 15, the building provides panoramic views, access to a wide range of amenities and outside gathering areas for employees to utilize. The adjacent Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve has over 37 miles of multi-use trails ideal for a number of activity options such as running, walking, mountain biking and horseback riding.
JLL’s Chad Urie, Grant Schoneman and Jay Alexander represented the landlord in the lease. Fate Therapeutics was repped by Craig Knox of Hughes Marino.
