San Francisco-based Ron Kaufman Companies LLC closed out 2013 with the purchase of Pacific Medical Plaza, a 50.9k sf medical office building in the Sorrento Mesa area of San Diego, for $32.5 mil ($639/sf). The building, located at 4910 Directors Place, was sold by Kilroy Realty Corp, out of Los Angeles.
Built in 2009, Pacific Medical Plaza is situated on over four acres north of Mira Mesa Blvd on the east side of I-805. Tenants in the building include Surgical Center of San Diego, ClearChoice Dental and South Coast MedSpa.
Jones Lang LaSalle represented both parties in the transaction. Allen Matkins provided legal representation for Kilroy, while Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP handled legal matters for the buyer.
