Kiernan Companies of Coronado purchased 10.107 acres of industrial land in San Diego for a total price of $3.6 mil. The land is located at 10138 Airway Rd, within Airway Business Center, about five blocks north of the Mexican border.
Airway Business Center is located directly north of the outbound International Truck Border Crossing from Mexico and adjacent to the new State Route 11, which will start construction this year. Airway Business Center was originally entitled and developed by Monaf and Hashim Saeed.
Rob Hixson SIOR, Rich Kwasny SIOR and Alexandra Allsup of CBRE represented the seller, MS Development Company LLC. First American Title provided escrow services with Carol Sloane as Escrow Officer. Brian Rolens and Michael Bauer of Fischer & Company represented the buyer, the Kiernan Companies of Coronado.
Activity in the Otay Mesa submarket has been steadily increasing due to process improvements undertaken by County Deputy Director, Jeff Murphy, and Planning Manager, David Sibbet. Business development and job creation in Otay Mesa are a top priority for the County.
