More than 1,000 CRE professionals came together on September 21 at the OC Fair and Event Center to experience NAIOP SoCal’s Night at the Fights. Themed Havana Nights, the signature black-tie event featured a colorful celebration of music, food, silent auction, and boxing.
A true highlight for 2023 were two exciting CRE industry bouts, where both matches went three grueling rounds. David Sarnoff of PSRS and Chris Martinez of Pivot Interiors kicked off the industry bouts with a match that went back and forth until the final bell. Martinez ultimately prevailed in one of the closest Real Estate Rumble matches to date with a split decision victory from the judges.
Following the Sarnoff/Martinez battle was Kevin Lao of CenterPoint Properties and Trevor Hanson of Triten Real Estate Partners. The second real estate rumble of the night also came down to the final bell with Hanson prevailing in a unanimous decision from the judges. Attendees also viewed a thrilling professional bout and entertaining Lucha Libre display.
After the bouts, guests enjoyed a colorful after-party featuring casino games, live band, dancers, along with a curated cigar lounge. Main event sponsors included Ring Sponsor Link, Warm Up Sponsor Air Control Systems, and Round 2 Sponsor Prologis, among others.
