Dollar Tree inked a 10-year lease for 10.5k sf of space in San Clemente. The discount variety store chain will be taking over the former Pier 1 Imports store space at 415 E Avenida Pico, within Pico Pavillion retail center. Pier 1 filed for bankruptcy this past February.
Constructed in 1989, Pico Pavillion is a 57k sf neighborhood center located at Avenida Pico and Calle Los Industrios, on the south side of I-5. Other tenants include California Bank & Trust, H & R Block, Supercuts and Pick Up Stix, among others.
Headquartered in Chesapeake, VA, Dollar Tree is a Fortune 500 company that operates 15,115 stores throughout the 48 contiguous U.S. states and Canada. Dollar Tree plans to open this store in the 4th quarter of 2020.
Terry Bortnick with Argent Retail Advisors represented the owner, Pico Pavilion LLC, in this transaction. The lease value was not disclosed.
