MediaTek USA inked a five-year lease for 10.5k sf of office space in Irvine. MediaTek, the world’s fourth largest global fabless semiconductor company, powers more than 1.5 bil devices a year including smart TVs, phones and tablets.
The firm’s new space is located at 1 Ada St, Building 4. Built in 1998, the two-story, 43.9k sf, multi-tenant office property is located within Lakeview Business Center and is in the Irvine Spectrum submarket. The property is near the 405 and 5 freeways, Irvine Spectrum, and the Irvine Transportation Center which provides daily Amtrak and Metrolink service.
Keith Kropfl, Michael Ganz and Jack Livingston with Avison Young represented MediaTek USA in the deal. The company will be relocating approximately 40 employees from 7k sf at 96 Corporate Park in Irvine to accommodate new engineer hires. The building owner, The Irvine Company, was self-represented.
