Bassman Blaine has purchased a 20.8k sf office property in Irvine for $7.6 mil ($365/sf). Currently based in Costa Mesa, Bassman Blaine provides a hands-on experience in all facets of interior design and the home furnishings industry.
The property, which will serve as Bassman Blaine’s new headquarters, was built in 1986 and renovated in 2017. Situated in an ideal location at 2485 McCabe Way, the building offered the perfect location within one of the nation’s highest concentrations of executive, scientific engineering and technical personnel.
The buyer intends to use the first floor of the new building as a gym, yoga studio and massage room along with a kitchen/cafe and complete showroom. The second floor will house the Bassman Blaine corporate team as well as the OC Design Collective tenants, consisting primarily of independent interior designers.
There will be conference rooms, collaborative spaces and lounges with an open concept feel. Additionally, there will be a full materials library and administrative and back office services will also be offered.
The building is undergoing a complete renovation and will be outfitted with state or the art technology and ergonomic office systems in a beautiful and contemporary setting.
Allen Basso of Lee & Associates Irvine represented Bassman Blaine in the transaction. The seller, Swift Real Estate Partners, was repped by John Griffin of Cushman & Wakefield.
