A 29.2k sf office building in San Diego’s Banker Hill neighborhood was purchased for $6.2 mil ($212/sf) by Kitchens for Good, a non-profit organization based in San Diego. The building is located at 2250 Fourth Ave, between I-5 and Hwy 163.
The property, serving as the new corporate headquarters for Kitchens for Good, will enable the company to scale its current programs, including culinary apprenticeships, meal contracts, and micro-enterprises. With the larger campus, the company intends to expand its services and build a commercial kitchen for job training, as well as additional classroom and meeting spaces, according to Moussa.
The property was sold by an entity of Secured Debt Investments, a boutique asset management firm based out of Coral Gables, FL that purchases distressed loans nationwide. Secured Debt purchased the distressed loan on 2250 Fourth Avenue from California Bank & Trust in 2023 and foreclosed on the property in April of 2024.
Brandon Keith with Voit Real Estate Service represented the seller. Christopher Moussa, also with Voit, repped the buyer in the deal.
