Fast-casual restaurant Kalaveras signed an 11-year lease for 6.8k sf of retail space in Burbank. The restaurant, which offers customers a menu that reflects a traditional Mexican and Latin American cuisine with a modern Kalaveras twist, took space at 221 N. San Fernando Blvd, east of I-5 and north of Olive Ave.
The prime location was formerly used as a restaurant. It features excellent visibility and street frontage, and is just steps from a convenient parking structure.
The restaurant features an atmosphere of vibrant colors, art, music, and culture of a time-honored tradition – El Dia de Los Muertos. Its menu showcases classics such as barbacoa and carnitas plates, as well as unique twists on Enchiladas Verdes, Tacos gobernador, and cocktails that are a mixture of urban mixology complemented by fresh ingredients including herbs, infusions, and homemade syrups.
Kalaveras joins an expanding list of exciting food and beverage establishments that have opened recently in Downtown Burbank such as Artelice Patisserie, Cafe Grano, Silverlake Ramen, and Over/Under Public House. The residential base has also been an important focus for the area with 1,000 brand new housing units currently approved or under construction.
Christine Deschaine and Kyle Fishburn of Kennedy Wilson represented the ownership, Al Liefer Trust. Saddleback Realty & Mortgage repped the tenant.
