Sason has completed a $2 mil renovation and repositioning at Canvas on Willow, a three-story office building totaling 121.4k sf in San Diego’s Scripps Ranch submarket. The property has also secured four new leases totaling nearly 50k sf at the building in recent months.
Rebranded as Canvas on Willow, Sason constructed a new tenant lounge and fitness center complete with rollup doors and access into the courtyard. It also completely modernized the building’s central courtyard to create an indoor/outdoor environment for tenants to work, relax and enjoy. Finally, it updated the HVAC system and controls, and modernized bathrooms throughout the asset.
Canvas on Willow is located on 6.06 acres close to the Scripps Ranch Technology Park and the 15 Freeway in the 1-15 Corridor of San Diego. The submarket is home to numerous life sciences, communications, tech, defense and financial services industries. Partially renovated in 2020, the asset features three 40k sf floorplates. On-site amenities include private balconies, an interior courtyard and lockers and showers on the ground floor.
Leading the leasing efforts at Canvas on Willow are JLL’s Richard Gonor and Tony Russell. The most recent leases at the property were with Anchor General Insurance (21k sf), Richard Brady & Associates (11k sf), Elevate Ortho (9.5k sf) and State of California (6.7k sf). Canvas on Willow can accommodate a wide range of users from 3k sf to 17.2k sf. Richard Gonor and Tony Russell with JLL oversee leasing at the property and repped the ownership in these latest transactions.
