Renovation Work to Get Underway at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa

10/27/23

Trinity Real Estate Investments is set to begin renovation work at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa, a 530-key hotel that the firm acquired roughly a year earlier. R.D. Olson Construction will be handling construction of the extensive public area renovation at the 36-acre, luxury resort.

Originally opened in 1989, the desert oasis has undergone significant restoration in recent years, including the addition of a waterpark catering to families. The planned enhancements to the 10k sf lobby, bar and restaurant areas will boost the interior design of the shared hospitality space to reflect a desert-chic environment, embracing neutral tones, custom carved woodwork and high-end metal finishings. The look will be modern, airy, and inviting with comfortable tufted seating throughout the expanse.

Palm Springs is known for its poolside scene and the planned renovations to the Hyatt Regency exterior are designed to be destination-worthy. All new concrete finishing and a landscape revival will serve as backdrop for luxurious day beds and cabanas. The relaxing area adjacent to the main building will complement the resort’s expansive family pool which includes two waterslides and a 450-foot-long lazy river.

R.D. Olson is working with Hyatt Regency management during the construction to ensure that construction activities do not interfere with the resort’s day-to-day business. The hotel will remain open during the renovation process.

R.D. Olson Construction has ample experience in Palm Springs and Coachella Valley, notably at La Quinta Resort Clubhouse and Marriott Shadow Ridge. They are also the builder responsible for the construction of the Indian Wells Country Club, a 60,000 square-foot facility hugging the 18th hole of the golf course that famously hosted the Bob Hope Desert Classic Tournament for close to 50 years.
