National City Church Property Trades in $4 Mil Exchange

10/23/23

A church property in National City was acquired by a growing church congregation in a recent $4 mil transaction. The purchase consists of a 20.2k sf church sanctuary and an adjacent educational building, covering an entire city block.

The property is located at 635 East 7th St. The buyer plans to renovate and utilize the existing facilities and will take advantage of the 1.43-acre site to accommodate future growth.

Robert Vallera with Voit Real Estate Services represented the seller, the First Baptist Church of National City. The buyer, Casa de Oracion, was repped by Eric Knowles and Robert Fletcher of Kidder Mathews.

According to Vallera, a half-dozen bidders including churches, residential developers and a school, pursued the full city block bounded by East 6th and 7th Streets and F and G Avenues. Casa de Oracion appeared to be the best fit for the property, the seller, and the surrounding community.
