Amanecer Community Counseling Service has signed a long-term expansion/renewal lease for 29.2k sf at 1200 Wilshire Blvd in the City West neighborhood of downtown Los Angeles. With this new agreement, the nonprofit will occupy two floors through 2030.
Founded in 1975, Amanecer has become a trusted provider of trauma-informed mental health care for underserved individuals and families. Its expanded headquarters at 1200 Wilshire will continue to support essential services and administrative operations to meet growing demand across the region.
Nathan Pellow and Michael Naoumovitch with Colliers represented Amanecer in the transaction. The owner, an affiliate of Sharp Capital, was repped by Taylor Watson and Paul Ayoob with CBRE.
The lease marks a major milestone in Amanecer’s evolution under Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC), one of the nation’s largest Latino-led nonprofit organizations. In 2024, Amanecer joined the CPLC network, aligning with CPLC’s mission to empower communities in need. Amid heightened caution in the nonprofit sector and continued volatility in the downtown office market, Amanecer’s decision to expand represents a powerful commitment to stability, growth, and deepened service in the Los Angeles community.
