The interior and exterior design installation at The Parker, a seven-story multifamily development by Cityview in L.A.’s Pico-Robertson neighborhood, has been completed. The work was done by Nadia Geller Designs (NGD).
Located at 5935 W. Pico Blvd, roughly one mile from the Los Angeles Museum of Art, the mixed-use building has 123 residential units ranging from studio to two-bedroom layouts sitting above 3.5k sf of storefront commercial space, with a two-level, 169-car subterranean parking garage below.
The vibrant residential community features multiple amenities curated by NGD for active and creative lifestyles, including a comfortable club room, modern tech-equipped workspaces that cater to remote workers, a rooftop courtyard with pool and hot tub, lounging areas, firepits, and an outdoor movie projector with amphitheater seating for socializing. Straddling the indoor and outdoor spaces is a well-appointed fitness center equipped with battle ropes, a boxing bag and tall rock climbing wall.
“We really strove to generate warmth and texture when designing the interior decor of The Parker for Cityview,” said Nadia Geller, president of Nadia Geller Designs. “Warm wood tones are coupled with patterned tiles, and leather and rust tones are layered on a base of blue hues giving the space a very comfortable atmosphere, befitting the California setting.”
The light-filled common spaces feature high ceilings and custom-milled built-ins for seating and shelving, adding a personal and large-scale visual touch to the contemporary space. Unique tilework is found in several areas, echoing the artistic vibe of the neighborhood, and lending a clean aesthetic.
During The Parker’s design and installation process, NGD partnered with other firms including AC Martin, WPIC Construction, Labib Funk + Associates, MJS Landscape Architecture and Flux Branding.
