Industrial Parts Depot LLC (IPD) inked a 61-month, $12.5 mil lease for an 83.4k sf industrial facility in Carson. The property is located at 1550 Charles Willard St, south of the 91 Fwy and west of Wilmington Ave.
The warehouse and distribution industrial building at 1550 Charles Willard St is within the Dominguez Technology Center. It offers an excellent South Bay industrial location close to major freeways and thoroughfares. It features 19 dock-high doors, one ground-level door, 7.4k sf of office space, minimum 30’ clear height and 160’ fenced concrete truck yard.
IPD is one of the largest heavy-duty engine parts manufacturers and distributors globally, and is part of the Storm Industries Inc family of successful businesses. The firm is relocating from a 42k sf distribution center in Torrance, a property owned by Storm Industries. The larger warehouse space will enable them to optimize their inventory management, streamline order fulfillment, and ensure faster delivery of high-quality industrial parts to their customers.
Since 1955, IPD has expanded across the globe to offer components for heavy-duty equipment servicing diverse commercial and industrial companies. IPD provides rebuilders with a full range of quality engine line products that range from steel pistons to overhaul kits for diesel and spark-ignited engines.
The Klabin Company’s Matt Stringfellow, SIOR, and Courtney Bell represented IPD in the transaction. The landlord, Carson Companies, was repped by John Schumacher and Bret Quinlan of CBRE.
