Emmy-Award Winning Actress Laura Wright will host the first-ever NAIOP SoCal Awards Gala on May 12. NAIOP SoCal, a leading organization for the commercial real estate industry in Southern California, will celebrate the best of commercial real estate during the Gala event.
Wright is best known for roles on daytime dramas “Loving”, “The City” and “Guiding Light”. She received the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2011 for her role as Carly Corinthos on “General Hospital”.
Also as part of the event, NAIOP SoCal will induct Ed Roski, president and chairman of the board of Majestic Realty Co, one of the nation’s largest privately-held development firms, into its Hall of Fame. Founded in 1948, Majestic Realty has a portfolio of more than 82 msf of office, retail, hospitality and warehouse/logistics distribution facilities with offices across the United States.
The chapter will also announce the winners of its commercial real estate industry awards. Nominations are open until March 9 for: Developer of the Year, Broker of the Year, Deal of the Year, Service Provider of the Year, Multifamily Project of the Year, Industrial Project of the Year, Office Project of the Year, Retail Project of the Year, Interior Project of the Year, Mixed-Use Project of the Year, Redevelopment/Renovation of the Year, Sustainable Project of the Year, Investor of the Year, Developing Leader of the Year, Diversity and Inclusion Award and Community Impact Project of the Year.
Two of the awards will be decided during the gala by a people’s choice, including Developer of the Year and Deal of the Year. In addition to the nominated awards there are a number that will be chosen by NAIOP SoCal leadership and announced that night including Distinguished Service, Member of the Year, Public Partner of the Year and YPG’s John B. Parker award.
