BH Properties has wrapped up a multimillion-dollar capital improvement program at Anchorage Square, its 153k sf mixed-use complex along San Francisco’s iconic Fisherman's Wharf. As part of the repositioning work, the property has been officially renamed Anchor’s Landing, signaling a bold new chapter for the full city-block waterfront destination.
Acquired in the summer of 2023, the property—located at Jones and Jefferson—was originally constructed in 1974 and includes 93k sf of office and retail space, a 127-room San Francisco Marriott Fisherman's Wharf, and an adjacent five-story, 685-stall parking structure.
Working in collaboration with BCV Architects, RDL Construction, and BH Properties’ in-house construction management team, the work includes a dramatically reimagined exterior design that modernizes and energizes the historic Wharf corridor. Enhancements include all new façades and storefront systems along Jefferson Street, tenant eyebrow signage, upgraded architectural lighting, modern exterior color scheme, modernized public restrooms, refreshed common areas, and enhanced wayfinding throughout the property.
The centerpiece of the transformation is the installation of five state-of-the-art LED video boards, highlighted by a 1.3k sf high-definition LED screen at the prominent corner of Jefferson and Jones Streets. Featuring immersive 3D capability, the interactive display creates a dynamic visual experience designed to captivate locals and the millions of visitors who frequent Fisherman’s Wharf annually.

Retail leasing momentum has accelerated alongside the physical transformation. Already home to San Francisco’s only In-N-Out location, the property has closed four new leases totaling 10k sf, including a new 2.5k sf Taco Bell Cantina, the brand’s elevated concept pairing its well-known menu offerings with specialty cocktails and beverages. Additional leases include popular boba tea shop Little Sweet (850 sf), Space, a Karaoke Concept (6k sf), and Saigon Sandwich (5.7k sf), creating a diversified mix of food, beverage, and entertainment uses. Several additional leases are in negotiation, continuing the strong market response to the repositioning.
A second phase of improvements, scheduled for the Summer of 2026 are planned along Jones and Leavenworth Streets and include the addition of three more LED screens. With its new name, bold exterior identity, interactive digital features, and expanding tenant roster, Anchor’s Landing is positioned to become a dynamic gathering place where retail, entertainment, and technology converge at one of San Francisco’s most visited destinations.
