The Caine Group picked up three contiguous parcels totaling 28.4k sf in Carlsbad Village for $6.67 mil ($235/sf). The properties are located at 2801 Roosevelt St and 2780 – 88, 2802 State St.
Mas Fina Cantina owner Andy Davis will be re-occupying the restaurant space at 2780 State St and Urban Property Group will be leasing out the additional vacant spaces. The buyer has extensive experience in the San Diego market with redevelopment projects. The group owns the adjacent parcels at the Carlsbad Arcade and hopes to redevelop in the future.
Bill Shrader, Joe Brady, and Amy McNamara of Urban Property Group represented both the buyer and seller in this transaction.
“With Carlsbad Village being rapidly revitalized, this property is one of the best development sites in the village with its walkability to the train station, restaurants, and countless Village amenities,” said Shrader. “Although we may be seeing some challenges in development, the demand for good real estate remains strong in San Diego County.”
