Sacramento-based Tower Investments has awarded NewMark Merrill Companies the property management assignment for The Nut Tree and Nut Tree Plaza, an iconic 372.2k sf retail and entertainment destination in the NoCal city of Vacaville. The property is located at East Monte Vista Ave and Nut Tree Rd, just south of the 505 and 80 Interstate Freeways, roughly 35 miles southwest of Sacramento.
From its humble beginnings in 1921 as a roadside fruit stand, The Nut Tree has flourished into a beloved interstate destination. Over the decades, it has transformed from a simple pit stop into a vibrant hub of activity, blending retail, dining, and entertainment, all while serving as a beacon of community spirit between San Francisco and Sacramento. Its evolution is a testament to California’s rich heritage, mirroring the growth and changes of the region itself. Its strategic location offers unparalleled visibility and access from Interstate 80, further enhanced by a new state-of-the-art LED monument sign providing maximum exposure. The destination is anchored by strong national tenants including PetSmart, Nordstrom Rack, Kirkland’s, Ulta, Old Navy, Best Buy, Michaels and HomeGoods.
NewMark Merrill plans to enhance the shopping experience, strengthen community ties, and continue the tradition of excellence that has been a cornerstone of the property since its inception.
