Browman Development acquired a five-building retail portfolio totaling 71.4k sf and spread across nearly four blocks in downtown Davis. The fully leased portfolio was sold by Brinley Downtown Properties, who had owed the asset for 40 years.
Located along prime, heavily trafficked streets, the building addresses include 513, 603 and 718 2nd Street, 209 F Street, and 207 E Street. They are commonly known as the Cinema South, Brinley, Red Brick, Quessenberry, and Watermelon Music buildings.
Tenants at the properties include an attractive variety of retailers such as Armadillo Music, Fleet Feet Sports, The Army Corp of Engineers, The Avid Reader, Spa Central, E Street Salon, Balance Point Pilates Studio, The Wardrobe, The Root of Happiness Kava Bar, and Sweet and Shavery.
Erik Neese, Ken Reiff and Shaun Morrow with Cushman & Wakefield’s Sacramento office represented the seller in the transaction.
The properties have been developed, managed, bought, maintained, leased and rehabbed by the current ownership for over four decades,” said Neese. “The offering presented a rare, unique opportunity to capture a significant amount of downtown Davis retail square footage in one transaction.”
