Donahue Schriber has begun construction on Rocklin Crossings, a 543.5k sf power center located at the southeast quadrant of Sierra College Blvd and I-80 in Rocklin, roughly 20 miles northeast of Sacramento.
Rocklin Crossings, anchored by Walmart, is one of two sister shopping centers being developed within the city by Costa Mesa-based Donahue Schriber. Together, the two projects will offer over 900k sf of retail and restaurants, providing a regional shopping and entertainment destination for Rocklin.
Located directly across the I-80 interchange, Rocklin Commons will follow at a later date as a second phase, with both centers slated to open in spring 2014. The shopping center will complement Whitney Ranch, a new sub-division now under construction in the northwest area of Rocklin. According to Donahue Schriber Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer David W. Mossman, the project has been entitled since 2008 but they elected not to build until there was enough leasing activity.
