Step Up Housing has acquired Bayside Apartment Homes, a 148-unit affordable housing property in Pinole, CA. The property is located at 530 Sunnyview Dr, adjacent to Bayfront Park, about seven miles north of Richmond in the East Bay.
Originally built in 1974 and renovated in 2017, Bayside consists of all affordable residences of two and three bedrooms located near the shoreline of San Pablo Bay at Point Pinole Regional Shoreline. Residents enjoy sweeping views and nearly two miles of trails at nearby Pinole Shore Park, Bayfront Park, in addition to proximity to Nob Hill Plaza, Del Monte Center, and Park View Plaza. Old Town Pinole offers a charming pedestrian-oriented shopping and dining destination. The location just north of Richmond offers access to Interstate 80 and mass transit options connecting to both major employment centers and weekend getaway destinations.
Institutional Property Advisors represented the seller in the transaction. Sack Capital Partners and Align Finance Partners arranged structured financing for the purchase. Sack will also provide asset and property management for the asset.
According to David Feinberg, Sack Capital Partners Managing Partner, planned renovations at Bayside Apartment Homes include enhancements of amenities to common areas, as well as an overhaul of the units.
