In recent leasing activity at One Sansome, the soaring 42-story office tower in the heart of San Francisco’s Financial District, McCarthy Building Companies inked a lease for 15.1k sf of space on the building’s 19th floor. McCarthy is one of California’s largest general contractors.
McCarthy was represented by Scott Wetzel, Jonathan Allen, and Griggs Ziesing with JLL.
Also, Ellis Partners, a leading NoCal-based real estate investor/developer, signed a 10-year lease for 6.6k sf on the building’s 15th floor. The firm relocated from 111 Sutter St. They were repped in the transaction by Eli Ceryak of Bridgeview CRE.
In addition, real estate services firm Newmark Group took 30.4k sf of space last year, replacing CBRE as the building’s leasing team in 2021. The Newmark team of Mike Brown, Roman Adler, and Aaron Gillespie repped One Sansome’s ownership, Barker Pacific Group, in these deals.
A diversified multi-tenant, multi-industry building boasting 650k sf of leasable Class A office space, One Sansome recently unveiled an ambitious, multi-faceted hospitality destination at its base, creating a new nerve center for social, professional, and civic activity in the West Coast’s most important business district.
Debuting in September, the sumptuous Holbrook House, a restaurant conceived by San Francisco hospitality industry veteran Phil Spiegel PLEASE FIDI and BPG, is the jewel of a multifaceted hospitality concept incorporating the historic (circa 1910) Albert Pissis-designed ground floor conservatory at the base of One Sansome.
Adjacent to the Holbrook House, the awe-inspiring atrium represents the second pillar of a three-piece hospitality concept. In addition to serving as the City’s newest and most graceful event space — spanning almost 16k sf and accommodating up to 2,000 guests — the rejuvenated space will also host a wide range of new programming for the public, including live music and special events, in one of the city’s most accessible privately owned public space.
