Two new tenants have inked leases at 501 Second Street, a 236.9k sf, Class A creative office building in San Francisco’s SOMA district. The tenants are LangChain, an open-source software framework that facilitates the integration of large language models into applications, and unitQ, an AI-enabled product quality monitoring platform.
In the larger deal, LangChain leased 11.8k sf. They were represented by Blake Walker and Caroline O’Loughlin Livermore of CBRE. In the other transaction, unitQ took 7.5k sf. They were repped by Will Cassriel and Grant Dettmer of JLL. Mike McCarthy, Brian McCarthy and Maddie Meyersieck of Transwestern represented the ownership, The Swig Company, in both transactions.
501 Second Street is a seven-story creative office building originally built as a warehouse in 1925. The building is LEED Platinum-, WELL- and Energy Star-rated. It features high ceilings, expansive views, onsite parking, upgraded common areas, bike rooms, and showers. It also has a large terrace which serves as an outdoor gathering space for tenants.
