Mary Hines and Jennifer Vergara have joined CBRE as Vice Chairs to its Life Sciences Practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. The duo specializes in tenant and landlord representation of life science across the Bay Area and are prominent figures in the commercial real estate industry locally and nationally.
Hines and Vergara join CBRE from Newmark where they were top producers. They bring more than 45 years of combined experience and have completed more than 12 msf of life sciences transactions.
The duo represents a variety of venture-backed startups, large pharmaceutical companies, publicly traded REITs and institutional landlords in the life science and biotech industries. Notable clients include Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Gilead Sciences, Pliant Therapeutics, Denali Therapeutics, Arcus Biosciences and The Column Group, among others.

Vergara was named to San Francisco Business Times’ 40 Under 40 in 2020 and San Francisco Business Times’ Women of Influence in 2017 and multiyear recipient of the CoStar Power Broker award. She is fluent in Spanish.
