The Conservatory, a historical architectural gem at One Sansome in downtown San Francisco, is now re-imagined and re-opened for public use. Since Barker Pacific Group took ownership of One Sansome, a soaring 42-story tower in the heart of San Francisco’s Financial District, in 2010, it has spent more than $100 mil on renovations and added more than 10k sf of repurposed rentable space. Last year, BPG unveiled plans for a daring, multi-dimensional hospitality experience set to ignite the historic, circa 1910 Albert Pissis-designed 8k sf ground floor conservatory of One Sansome, turning one of downtown's most iconic landmarks into a buzzing hive of activity.
The ambitious hospitality project, executed by PLEASE FiDi Inc, is the brainchild of renowned San Francisco industry veteran Phil Spiegel, whose team has reimagined the expansive building lobby and luminous atrium as a graceful FiDi social hub. The adjacent North Lobby, which is available to all tenants to reserve the conference room spaces during business hours, offers its own refined redesign with a slate of best-in-class hospitality amenities set for imminent roll-out.
The third and arguably most anticipated element of the project is Holbrook House, a visually stunning, upscale restaurant and bar that unfolds across multiple ground-floor spaces. Set to launch this summer, the swanky Holbrook House will fuse the City’s gilded lore with the contemporary design genius of Jeff Schlarb Design Studio.
The deal between PLEASE FIDI and Barker Pacific seeks a tight integration between the building’s hospitality component and tenant amenities. In addition to operating the bar, restaurant, and event facility, PLEASE will offer an exclusive catering program to the tenants of One Sansome and within the building’s newly built conference rooms, private dining rooms, tenant lounges, and the conservatory itself. The arrangement positions PLEASE to operate as a veritable “hospitality concierge” to One Sansome’s strong tenant roster and is certainly a big draw for strong leasing activity, which is bucking local trends.
