SWENSON has completed construction of Nanda on Pacific, a 119.7k sf mixed-use community in Santa Cruz. Located at 1547 Pacific Ave, Nanda consists of 79 spacious studio, one- and two-bedroom apartment units (421 sf to 1.2k sf), as well as ground floor commercial units.
The site of two buildings lost when the area was hit hard by the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake—the Old Phoenix Building and the Williamson & Garret Building—SWENSON has brought the historic Park Pacific parcel back to life 31 years later. “An incredible project totaling over 74k sf of residential on a parcel that sat vacant in the downtown core for over 30 years, this property provided a once in a lifetime opportunity to reignite the entrance to downtown Santa Cruz,” said Jeff Huff, Project Manager for SWENSON.
Fronting Pacific Ave with heavy walk-by traffic along the Pacific Garden Mall, this prime commercial space offers options for retail and/or restaurant tenants. The grease shaft, air ducting, and rooftop units are already provided to support future tenant improvements.
A relaxing community located in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz, just minutes from cafes and restaurants, the beach, hiking and biking trails and UC Santa Cruz, Nanda on Pacific is in the middle of the action. For those staying home, amenities include a Precor-designed fitness center, coffee bar, game room, dog wash station, digital concierge services, package lockers, underground parking, and bike storage. Pets are welcome.
