A venture between SKS Partners LLC and ProspectHill Group acquired The McGuire Building, a 140k sf industrial building in San Francisco, for $47 mil. The property, located at 1201 Bryant St, just off I-80 between 8th and 9th Streets in the SOMA District, was sold by Kohler Co, a manufacturer of plumbing products, furniture, cabinetry, tile, engines, and generators.
The buyer plans to redevelop the building for uses consistent with the city’s Production, Distribution & Repair zoning. Previously, in another joint venture, SKS and ProspectHill purchased and renovated the 103k sf McClintock Building, which has been successfully leased to a single tenant, for uses consistent with the Production, Distribution & Repair zoning.
Gary Barboro and Tim Mason of Kidder Mathews, along with Gerald Norton of Binswanger, represented the seller in this transaction.
