Although buyers may find financing to be a little bit more challenging these days, that doesn’t mean that deals are not getting done. We’ve got a trio of recent office sales to report from the Bay Area, in Mountain View, San Rafael and Oakland.
We’ll start in Marin County, where the Marin County Employees Retirement Association acquired a 38.4k sf building at 1 McInnis Pkwy in the city of San Rafael as an investment. The two-story, Class A building was sold by C.V. Anthony II LLC. Greg Moss and Whitney Strotz of NAI BT Commercial took care of brokerage duties for the buyer.
In the Silicon Valley community of Mountain View, The Swig Company purchased a four-year-old, 24.8k sf Class A office building at 399 El Camino Real. David Hiebert and Daniel Persyn of NAI BT Commercial, along with Eric Doyle of CB Richard Ellis, represented the seller, El Camino Center LLC. The price was not disclosed.
And across the Bay, in Oakland, a 27k sf office property at 8201 Edgewater Dr was purchased by Shimmick Construction Company. The two-story building is part of the Oakland Airport Business Park. Shimmick, which plans to occupy 8.5k sf of multi-tenant building, was represented by Paul Beckwith of NAI BT Commercial. It was sold by Conversano.
