A 71-unit multifamily property on Los Angeles’ westside sold for $14.2 mil in a recent deal that worked out to $200k per unit. The property is located at 1441 S. Beverly Glen Blvd, just north of Santa Monica Blvd and Century City.
Built in 1953, the 41.9k sf structure sits on 0.67 acres. The property consists of 71 units, including 63 studios and eight one-bedroom/one-bath units. Located in the Westwood submarket, the property provides access to UCLA, Century City, Beverly Hills, Brentwood and other Westside employment, retail and dining destinations.
Michael Sterman, of the Sterman Multifamily Group in Marcus & Millichap's Encino office, represented the seller, 1441 S Beverly Glen Investment LLC, and procured the buyer in the transaction.
“This transaction provided a rare opportunity to acquire an asset of this scale in a highly desirable West Los Angeles location, where properties of this size are infrequently available,” said Sterman, senior managing director investments. “While the building’s high concentration of studio units presented some challenges, its proximity to major employment and educational centers and other Westside amenities contributed to its appeal.”
