Redwood West, in partnership with Panattoni, has acquired The Pike, a 394.6k sf waterfront retail, dining, and entertainment lifestyle center in Long Beach. The price was not given out.
Located, at 95 S. Pine Ave, The Pike was built in 2003. The landmark destination is situated in the heart of Long Beach's downtown waterfront business and entertainment district that draws seven million annual visitors. The property is 91% leased to a dynamic mix of retail, dining, entertainment, and lifestyle offerings, anchored by Cinemark Theatres and complemented by waterfront restaurants, retailers, and entertainment venues. High-profile tenants include Restoration Hardware, Cinemark, EōS Fitness, Nike Factory Store, H&M, Levi's, P.F. Chang's, Gladstones, California Pizza Kitchen, and Starbucks, among others.
Redwood West and Panattoni plan to invest approximately $20 mil to deliver placemaking initiatives, community-focused events, strategic leasing, neighborhood-serving uses, and experiential activations designed to increase visitation and further strengthen The Pike's connection to the Long Beach community.
Redwood West will oversee property management, leasing, marketing, and operations for the asset. The acquisition reflects Redwood West's and Panattoni's continued commitment to investing in high-quality retail and mixed-use destinations throughout California. To that end, in March 2026, Redwood West and Panattoni acquired Victoria Gardens, a 1.2 msf Inland Empire lifestyle center, for $530 mil.
