Tustin-based C&C Development, in partnership with Orange Housing Development Corporation, has kicked off construction on two new SoCal affordable housing communities. The projects are Altrudy II, a 64-unit affordable housing community in the city of Yorba Linda dedicated to providing affordable housing for seniors aged 62+ and above, and Corona 2nd Street, a 115-unit affordable family project in the city of Corona that will house homeless families and those at risk of becoming homeless, including a preference for veterans. Completion for the new communities is expected in the Fall of 2027 into early 2028.

Corona 2nd Street, at the corner of Buena Vista and Second St in Corona, is a 115-unit affordable family project with six studio, 18 one-bedroom, 46 two-bedroom, and 45 three-bedroom units across four residential buildings. The development will include a preference for 20 families that are either currently homeless or at risk of homelessness. On site amenities feature a manager with an onsite leasing office, tot lot, BBQ pavilion, pool, drought tolerant landscaping, and community room with kitchen.
The Altrudy II Senior Apartments at 18611 Altrudy Lane in Yorba Linda encompasses 50 one-bedroom and 14 two-bedroom apartments ranging from 671 sf to 1k sf. Preference for 20% of the units will be given first to households that include one or more veterans of the U.S. Military and then preference will be given to households that are Yorba Linda residents and/or currently work in the city. The property will feature nearly 1.7k sf of community space including a leasing office, mail room and a community room with kitchen. Other onsite amenities will include a community laundry room, outdoor BBQ pavilion, and dog park.
The 2nd Street community is C&C’s third project in the city of Corona including Citrus Circle Apartments, a 61-unit property encompassing one, two, and three-bedroom units that are affordable to residents whose income is from 30% to 60% of area median income (AMI) and Meridian Apartments, an 85-unit community for families earning 50% to 60% of AMI. C&C now has a total of over 40 affordable housing communities in its Southern California portfolio.
