GPI Companies has completed extensive improvements at its 250k sf medical and office campus in La Jolla. The property, located at 8950 Villa La Jolla Drive, has been rebranded as the La Jolla Wellness Center.
The campus consists of four separate buildings, 680 parking spaces and a new nine-story, 114k sf state-of-the-art academic building occupied by UC San Diego. That building, located at the corner of La Jolla Village Dri, opened last summer. The property also features over 30k sf of outdoor gathering areas and a lively Bird Rock Coffee Roasters café.
Improvements made by GPI include the addition of a new conference center for meetings and patient education, a library, boardroom, management office, and café as well as extensive improvements to the buildings themselves, providing new roofs, corridors, common areas, parking systems, and restrooms. The property features beautifully landscaped outdoor spaces with comfortable seating as well as showers and lockers.
To highlight the scope of these changes, GPI renamed the property, christening it The La Jolla Wellness Center and adding dynamic new signage, graphics, wayfinding, and directories to rebrand and unify the seven-acre campus.

The La Jolla Wellness Center offers suites ranging in size from 1k sf to 23k sf, making it suitable for various medical practices, healthcare facilities, holistic medicine, wellness care, clinical services, as well as behavioral, holistic, and psychological practices.
Located just west of Interstate 5 with convenient access to both UTC and La Jolla Village as well as UC San Diego’s main campus, the campus provides excellent accessibility for patients and medical staff throughout North County. The LaJolla Wellness Center is managed by JLL with MedWest Realty overseeing leasing.
