Sunjoint Development has started construction on the Terraces at Walnut, a 49-acre mixed use development located on Valley Blvd in Walnut, CA. Construction of the first product type, a single family two-story unit, began in November of 2023, with the first five phases now being made available for sale. The remaining homes will be built in phases: Townhomes, single-family three-story and estate lots. Full build-out is anticipated for the end of 2025.
Designed by architecture firm KTGY with their own in-house building team under CBC Home serving as the contractor, Terraces at Walnut project will feature 79 townhomes, 211 detached single-family homes and 17k sf of retail space. The three-bedroom and four-bedroom townhomes will range from 1.5k sf to 1.9k sf. The single-family homes will encompass three or four bedrooms ranging from 2.2k sf to 3.6k sf.
The retail space at the Terraces at Walnut can accommodate varying food users, including dine-in restaurants. Additional shop space is set aside to be occupied by specialty retailers and beverage users. In addition to being the City of Walnut’s only gated community, the Terraces at Walnut offers residents 11 pocket parks, an internal trail system, and breath-taking views.
JLL’s Blake Kaplan, Erik Westedt and Drew Olson are overseeing the leasing of the retail space.
The Terraces at Walnut is ideally located in the City of Walnut on the Eastern corridor of the San Gabriel Valley between the San Jose Hills mountain range to the north and Puente Hills to the south. The area is adjacent to Diamond Bar, Pomona, City of Industry and West Covina. Walnut is a relatively affluent suburb with a median income of $110,441, 66.6% higher than the median Los Angeles income.
