Scannell Properties Spends $32 Mil on 129 Acres in Buckeye, AZ

6/19/26

Scannell Properties has acquired a 129-acre parcel of land located at the northwest corner of Southern Ave and Rooks Rd in Buckeye, AZ for the development of an industrial project to be called Summit Logistics Center. The site was sold by Arizona Land Consulting for $32.5 mil.

Phase I, breaking ground in the third quarter, will comprise a 1.14 msf industrial facility designed for large-scale logistics and distribution users, featuring a 40-foot clear height, 3.5k sf of office space, 240 dock-high doors and four grade-level doors. The master-planned site will offer state-of-the-art features and flexible configurations to accommodate a variety of industrial requirements.

The property offers direct access to major transportation corridors, including proximity to Interstate 10 and regional highways. The West Valley location provides efficient connectivity to the greater Phoenix metropolitan area and regional distribution networks. The site’s accessibility supports streamlined logistics operations and positions tenants to capitalize on the robust labor pool and expanding infrastructure in Buckeye and the surrounding area.

The Cushman & Wakefield team of Mike Haenel, Andy Markham, Phil Haenel, Foster Bundy, Justin Smith, Jordan Sims and Brian Lee represented the seller in the transaction. Additionally, Mike Haenel, Andy Markham, Phil Haenel, Foster Bundy, Justin Smith and Jordan Sims repped the buyer and have also been retained to lease the property.

“This transaction reflects the sustained demand for institutional-grade industrial development in the West Valley,” said Markham. “With its substantial scale and strategic location, Summit Logistics Center will provide tenants with a modern logistics hub designed to meet evolving supply chain requirements.”

“Summit Logistics Center represents an estimated $200 mil plus investment in the West Valley, reflecting Scannell's continued confidence in Buckeye and the broader Phoenix industrial market,” added Erik Anderson, Senior Development Associate at Scannell Properties.
