Work has been completed on the Henry W. Longfellow Career Exploration Academy, a new construction replacement school for Dallas Independent School District. The project was built by Cadence McShane Construction Company on behalf of the School District.
Located on the existing campus, the three-story, 143k sf middle school offers an expansive academic portion, administrative offices, fine arts spaces, a theater, library, cafeteria and kitchen, physical education facilities, a tornado shelter, and various site improvements.
As part of the project, Cadence also completed demolition and abatement of the previous facility. Work was phased to allow continued operation of the existing school throughout construction. The architect of record is Huckabee.
