Murphy Development Company Idaho Picks Up 77 Acres in Nampa, ID for 1,492-Unit Development

2/09/26

Murphy Development Company Idaho (MDCI) acquired two properties totaling 77 acres in Nampa, ID. The sites are located along Ustick Rd and North Can-Ada Rd, marking the firm’s initial acquisition in one of the Treasure Valley’s most promising growth corridors.

Murphy plans to develop a mixed-use, master-planned community totaling 1,492 multifamily units across the two properties, a project that received Nampa City Council approval in June 2025.

The fully entitled properties are strategically positioned adjacent to the new Hwy 16 Corridor, a transformative infrastructure project expected to drive long-term economic expansion throughout the Boise metropolitan area.

The Highway 16 Corridor project is expected to improve connectivity between Interstate 84 and U.S. Highway 20/26 while relieving congestion on existing routes. Construction of that project is currently underway, with completion projected in 2028.
