A renovated, 54.6k sf retail and warehouse facility in San Juan, TX was purchased by Bob Mills Furniture in a $7.6 mil ($139/sf) deal. The transaction marks the furniture retailer’s first location in the Rio Grande Valley and a strategic milestone in its expansion across South Texas.
The property is located at 801 E Interstate 2, along the prominent IH-2 corridor. The location provides excellent access to the Rio Grande Valley’s expanding population centers. The surrounding retail and entertainment hubs generate strong traffic, creating a favorable environment for Bob Mills Furniture’s operations.
Founded in 1971 by industry pioneer Bob Mills, Bob Mills Furniture has become a household name across Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas, known for its family-first philosophy, non-commission sales hosts and innovation in mattress and home furnishings. Today, Mills and his children—Bryan Dyson (Chief Operating Officer), Tuesday Fay and Chris Dyson—continue to lead the brand with authenticity, transparency, and service at its core.
Stewart Skloss with Newmark represented Bob Mills Furniture in the acquisition, providing advisory services including site selection, financial structuring and long-term planning to align with the company’s growth goals. The acquisition follows the lease signing for Bob Mills Furniture’s 116k sf flagship store in Schertz, TX, also arranged by Skloss.
