Lumber Baron Inn, a historic Bed & Breakfast and Event Center, in Denver, Has been listed for sale. Located at 2555 W. 37th Ave in Denver’s Potter-Highlands neighborhood, the three-story Victorian mansion was built in 1890 and has been restored to its original floorplan.
The property is around 9.7k sf and currently operates as a boutique bed & breakfast, wedding venue, and event space. The Lumber Baron Inn offers five guest suites with private bathrooms, a commercial kitchen, 150+ person third floor ballroom, and an outdoor courtyard. It can be used as a private residence, live-work operation or as a hotel and event center.
Lumber Baron Inn is west of Downtown Denver in an area with many other historic homes. There are many shops, restaurants and entertainment venues that are within walking distance of the property.
The property was originally built by John Mouat, a Scottish immigrant and the owner of Mouat Lumber, for his wife and five children. His company built more than 200 buildings from 1892 to 1898 in Denver. The third-floor ballroom originally hosted teas, dances and social functions of Denver elite through the 1890s and turn of the century.
Monica Wiley and Jeff Wood of CBRE are representing the owners of Lumber Baron Inn in the sale of their property. An asking price was not given out.
