Brookfield Properties has awarded the leasing assignment for California Market Center (CMC), the 1.9 msf hub for creative office and mixed-use space in Downtown Los Angeles, to Colliers. The unique asset is located at 110 E. 9th St in the city’s Fashion District. Colliers’ Matthew Heyn, Ian M. Gilbert and Kristen Bowman will lead the marketing and leasing efforts.
Comprising 13 floors across three buildings, CMC caters to tenants seeking amenity-rich, high-quality space with a campus feel in a central location within the Fashion District of Downtown Los Angeles. This location provides access to an immense labor pool within a reasonable commute time to the project.
Buildings A and B are tailored for creative office tenants, while Building C is dedicated to fashion tenants and showrooms. The design features expansive floor plates linked by exterior bridges, offering views of an interior courtyard and plaza, a 13k sf state-of-the-art tenant-only fitness center, a basketball/pickleball court, a 12k sf conference center, and a 3k sf rooftop sky deck.
California Market Center’s legacy boasts the first wholesale fashion building on the West Coast. As the hub of West Coast Fashion and Creative Industries, it remains North America’s largest wholesale fashion, gift, and home showcase and trade center.
