Rio Bravo Studios is planning to build a state-of-the-art commercial soundstage facility with four 20k sf soundstages in Albuquerque, NM, with plans to be operational by 2025. The site will include office areas for each soundstage, two complete mill shops and ample parking for 450 cars, leaving over 10 acres available for backlot use.
The facility will be built on an 18.46-acre piece of land near the intersection of Rio Bravo and 2nd St, adjacent to the Bernalillo County NMRX Station. The land is part of the Schwartzman Inc South I-25 Employment Corridor, which Rio Bravo Studios purchased in September.
The finished facility will be close to I-25, Albuquerque International Sunport, and Downtown, as well as right across from Yes Housing Inc’s planned housing development. Yes Housing’s project will be an agricultural and transit-oriented community, emphasizing carbon neutral and energy efficient designs.
Trevor Hatchell and Matt Butkus of CBRE represented the seller, Schwartzman Inc, in the sale. Scott Whitefield, SIOR, and Shona Martinez represented the buyer.
