Work has been completed on a new 57k sf facility in Chandler, AZ for Rinchem, the world’s largest network of chemical and gas distribution centers. The new structure, built by Graycor Construction Company, increases Rinchem’s local footprint by more than two-thirds, bringing its Chandler campus to more than 127k sf and broadening the capacity of its Arizona-based chemical logistics operations.
The new space connects directly to Rinchem’s existing, roughly 70k sf Chandler facility located at 6805 W. Morelos Pl, at the intersection of Interstate 10 and the Loop 202 Fwy. All new construction activity took place in a live environment while maintaining Rinchem’s ongoing operations within the campus.
Graycor’s construction services for Rinchem included an expansion of the shell building and complete tenant improvements of the warehouse, to include an approximate 5k sf mezzanine. The building expansion features concrete-tilt construction with a structural steel roof and deck system, fire-treated with explosion-proof equipment and materials. Additional features include 32’ to 40’ clear heights, customized temperature-controlled storage, specialized fire suppression and areas for chemical segregation and spill containment. The architect for the expansion is Butler Design Group.
Originally opened in 2015, Rinchem’s Chandler facility provides customized, temperature-controlled storage of high-purity chemicals and gasses used primarily for the semiconductor industry. The Graycor-led expansion adds to Rinchem’s warehousing areas, which are used to process and store regulated and non-regulated chemicals and gasses.
