Taconic Capital Advisors LP has begun work on a remodel of the Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort, a 498-room hotel within walking distance to Disneyland Resort that the firm just recently acquired. The renovation work, which will encompass a full modernization of the guest rooms as well as significant improvements to the common areas, is being doneby R.D. Olson Construction.
Since the hotel was originally constructed in the 1970s, the remodel will modernize the 270k sf hotel and bring it up to current brand standards. The work is expected to complete in Q2 2022. Architecture firm Melzer Deckert Ruder Architects Inc and construction manager Cumming are also part of the project.
The renovation will update the hotel’s 498 guest rooms and add two additional rooms, for a total of 500 rooms. The room types available to guests will include 10 suites, 99 king rooms and 391 double queen rooms. The builder will also make improvements to the lobby, restaurant, meeting rooms, ballroom, lobby bar, fitness room, Sheraton Club Lounge and other common areas, as well as some limited exterior updates.
Located at 1855 South Harbor Blvd, Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort is ideally located near Disneyland Resort Parks, Downtown Disney District, the Anaheim GardenWalk, Angel Stadium and the Anaheim Convention Center. The hotel caters to families visiting Disneyland Resort, as well as large business groups and those attending events at the convention center.
