Work has started on Crestavilla, a $100 mil, senior living project in Laguna Niguel. The ultra-luxury retirement community will provide an array of services comparable to a five-star hotel.
Crestavilla is being developed by Irvine-based Steadfast Senior Living LLC, one of the Steadfast Companies. It was designed by Santa Ana-based William Hezmalhalch Architects and is being built by Bernards, the nationally ranked commercial builder.
The development’s 211.4k sf senior residential living facilities will cover two acres of the project’s 11.5 acres of lushly landscaped grounds. Included will be 112 independent living, 72 assisted-living units, and 36 memory care beds. Scheduled for completion in November 2017, the project will consist of one below-grade level for parking and three levels of above-grade residential living.
Bernards has built many senior living, luxury multifamily projects and resort hotel projects, including senior living projects for Sunrise Senior Living and luxury residential projects such as Caruso Affiliated’s 8500 on Burton Way at the gateway to Beverly Hills, Americana at Brand in Glendale, and Essex Property Trust’s Wilshire at La Brea. The company also recently completed the new construction and historic renovation of the five-star El Encanto Hotel and Garden Villas, Santa Barbara’s oldest existing hotel.
